ART FOR YOU FOR ADULTS
Information about adult art classes in my home studio in Avonhead– with some changes from previously!
Wednesdays 10am – 12
This is my lowest fee class, for historical reasons: The class has been going forever and a day, with some personnel changes, and people usually stay a long time! People become interested in catching up with the others’ art and lives and it’s usually quite a social time.
The class is currently full but there are casual spaces most terms* that you can use by booking well ahead, paying $20 per 2 hour session and discussing what you’d like to do – probably drawing, collage or short paint exercise rather than a big project. I would provide the materials for that and we’d need your participation to be sorted at least by the afternoon before the Wednesday morning class.
* Casual spaces in this class, this term, include 16, 23 Oct, 6, 13, 20, 27 Nov, 18 Dec and there may be others.
Individual tuition
I’ve decided to lower the fee per 2 hour session from $55 to $50.
You would provide most of your own paint and painting grounds (eg canvas) when and if you needed them.
I would provide equipment, eg brushes;
advice about paint & grounds to buy;
and I would provide drawing (and collage) materials, included in your fee.
You would be able to pay weekly before the class and not pay if you need to cancel.
You and I negotiate what you’ll do in my classes before you start and ongoing. Individual tuition is good for people who just want to be the only student there or need lots of attention or maybe want to do lots of English as 2nd Language practice at the same time as art.
This type of class could be on Tues/Wed afternoons or from 14 Nov, also Thursday daytimes.
Group classes
I’ve decided to change the fee structure from each student’s fee depending on the number in the class to being a flat $30 per 2 hour session.
You would provide most of your own paint and painting grounds (eg canvas) when and if you needed them.
I would provide equipment, eg brushes;
advice about paint & grounds to buy;
and I would provide drawing (and collage) materials, included in your fee. You would pay upfront for the term (usually but not necessarily 10 week primary school terms)but you would be able to specify dates you can’t come (eg appointments, holidays) and not pay for those.
There would be a maximum of 5 students in the class.
I negotiate each person’s individual programme before they start and ongoing. In such a small group, you will normally get whatever attention you want when you want it – and also be able to hear and see what’s going on with others and learn from that if you want to.
This type of class could be on Tues/Wed afternoons or from 14 Nov, also Thursday daytimes.
If you would like something different from any of the above, please ask – I’ll see what I can do!
